About Quikflip

The Mind Behind Quikflip

Rener Gracie is a third-generation member of the legendary Gracie family, an entrepreneur, and the founder of Quikflip. As a lifelong jiu-jitsu practitioner and instructor, he's spent decades mastering efficiency and problem-solving — and now brings that same mindset to every product he creates. What started as a simple idea has grown into a global brand people trust to make everyday life a little smarter, with Rener leading the charge in building a team, expanding the product line, and building a community of people who expect more from what they wear.

That obsession with efficiency didn't stay on the mat for long.

Outerwear, Reinvented

It's a question anyone who's ever carried a hoodie has asked: what do you do with it when you don't need it? Rener set out to solve that problem — and in under 30 minutes, the first Quikflip prototype was born: a convertible hoodie that transforms into a backpack. One less thing to think about. What started as a simple solution quickly became a brand that didn't exist until Rener decided it should, designed to make life easier, one product at a time.

Surviving Shark Tank

Rener walked into the Shark Tank the same way he walks onto the mat: completely prepared and impossible to ignore. His pitch stopped the sharks cold, earned a $500,000 offer from Lori Greiner, and sent the internet into a frenzy. Widely called one of the best pitches in Shark Tank history, it wasn't just a business moment. It was a masterclass in belief. Watch the full episode above.
